New Natural Wonders of the World
If you are one amongst those still planning a trip to the ancient Seven Wonders of the World, it’s time for you to spruce up your trip. Tailor-made for nature lovers, this list of Ten New Natural Wonders of the World is all about nature and doesn’t reflect on the man-made structures. Be ready to be taken aback by the magnificence and brilliance of these ten destinations, as it includes some magical panoramas and few best vistas around the world.
Viewing the gushes of lava erupting from a sturdy, panoramic mountain is quite a scene. However, it’s very likely that you have already witnessed such volcanoes and I have promised you the vistas of wonders from a new, distinct dimension. So, here is Paricutin Volcano, Mexico at rank 10. What’s so distinct about it? Unlike any other volcanic areas, this region isn’t famous for spurting lava from a lonely mountain. Paricutin is a monogenetic field with thousands of vents and lava erupts from each vent. However, along with this distinct natural architecture, it’s quite astonishing to know that each vent erupts only once.
However, it isn’t quite easy to bathe in ponds of lava. You will need to get under some falls for that. But, what can be more pleasing and gratifying than bathing under the largest falls of the world? Yes, you guessed it right; it’s Niagara Falls at number 9. This natural phenomenon amid the US and Canada is a place to visit at least once in a lifetime. For those who have already witness the panoramic falls, you now have a reason to revisit the location. It is now called the “New Niagara Falls”, along with the famous epithet of “Honeymoon Destination”, due to its improved ambiance and surroundings.

The image of huge plummets and beautiful cascading water must have completely occupied you mind by now. However, we aren’t done with volcanoes yet. At rank 8 is the legendary Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii. This is the most active volcano in Hawaii today well-known Polynesian marvel. You will be quite surprised to know that around 85% of Kilauea’s land is made up of lava that’s frequently erupting for past 1,100 years. A place must-see in Kilauea is the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, which was built in 1912, chiefly to examine the volcano in this region.

The supreme power of nature cannot be observed anywhere in the world better than in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. The multihued rocky walls, sturdy crags and the expanse of coarse land is a view that’s more than awe-inspiring. And it’s definitely much more than gratification for hikers, mountaineers, and river rafters. Yes, tumultuous Colorado River adds spice to your trip. Roaming through this vast expanse of Grand Canyon creates a sense of humility, a sense of enthusiasm to care more about this terrain. Indeed, this place deserves much more than being at rank 7. But we do have many other gorgeous works of nature that cannot be overlooked.

Probably we have been to many national parks and visiting yet another park is so boring unless it the oldest or first national park of our world – Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (Rank – 6). Established in 1892, this park encompasses over 10,000 geysers and hot springs, along with the legendary presence of Old Faithful Geyser. This terrain is a unique blend of awe-inspiring panoramas, geothermal force, and expansive natural ecology with numerous endangered species of our world.
Enough of Volcanoes and National Parks. Let’s indulge in some adventures in some of the most beautiful vistas of earth – The Amazon. Most of us, when hear this name, immediately think about the leading online retailer Amazon.com. Though the company is big, it’s not big enough to accommodate in the list of top ten natural wonders. It’s the Amazon River (along with the neighboring forest) that managed to make it here. The remarkable spread of Amazon Rain Forest is known for its wonderful panoramas, audacious adventures, and numerous animals. So, considering the variety it offers this river rainforest in Brazil ranks 5.
The northeastern coast of Australia is quite remarkable. With over 3,000 coral reefs, the Great Barrier Reef is world’s largest coral reef ecosystem. This place ranks 4th and I am sure you wouldn’t object if you visit this place personally. With pleasing ambiance, dense neighboring rainforest, pasty beaches, and water that varies from azure to turquoise to emerald, this place is perfect for those who want to be astonished by natural magnificence. For those who still cant comprehend the significance of this place, it is larger than the massive Great Wall of China and it’s also the only living thing on earth seen from the space.
It seems like most of the very massive areas are being ranked here. No, I ain’t going to reveal any tiny natural wonder. It’s yet another huge cascade at number 3 – Victoria Falls that can be observed from both Zimbabwe and Zambia. The water gushes over 100 m elevated, 1.5km long crag and plummets with great vigor, creating a gorgeous panorama for the visitors. What’s so massive about it? It throws about 120 million gallons of water each minute. If you think you are a great river rafter, probably the best, be prepared to blemish your ego because the currents here are crazier than any other river in the world.
If there were awards shows for natural events, Northern Lights would have been Oscars. Here, in Aurora Borealis, colors like red, green, blue, purple, and few other combinations are seen glittering on the sky during sunset. No, this isn’t due to any artificial light reflections. It’s purely natural and beautiful. People from all around the world come here just to witness the miracle of nature ranking 2nd. How it happens? Well, locals have their stories & superstitions and scientists have their half-explained elucidations. How would I know? I ain’t a local or a scientist.
If most of the largest natural structures have been listed in here, what about the biggest natural phenomenon? Rank 1 is occupied by none other than the massive Mount Everest, the largest and tallest peak on earth, in Nepal and Tibet. If you aren’t aware about the majesty and immensity of Mount Everest, you ought to watch Vertical Limit (movie).
I must admit there are various other natural wonders on earth that I have missed here. But if the list says top 10, I cannot list down 20, right? I will prepare a list soon adding other beautiful panoramas and destinations of world. Meanwhile, you go check out these massive places.
