Lima Key Attractions-Lima

Plaza de Armas or Plaza Mayor (Main Square)

It is a Main Square of the city and the beginning point from where you can begin your journey in the city. The site demonstrates colonial grace through its stylish gardens and the fountains made up of bronze. In the north part of the plaza de armas lima perusquare is the affluent Palacio de Gobierno, a government palace.

Palacio de Torre Tagle

It came into existence in the year 1735 and it contains the marvelous balconies those are carved with wood. The house was acquired by the government in the year 1918 and since than it turned Foreign Ministry’s address. Its staircases and storerooms also will give you a feel of delightful sight.

Miraflores and Barranco

Most of the city elites reside in Miraflores and Barranco. The entire Lima can be toured through Miraflores and a park in the area namely Parque Kennedy will keep you liberated from noise and pollution of the city. Here you also can take a look at the fascinating art of the city. Barranco is frequented by the party-lovers as the locality possesses delightful nightlife and tempting restaurants.

Museo de la Inquisición y del Congreso

The place in the 16th century witnessed the notorious Court of the Inquisition.
Carving of mahogany ceiling can be seen in the main hall. In a close proximity to the museum is the city’s tiny Chinatown and the restaurants here offer inexpensive but delicious food.

Museo de la Nación

One of the city’s premier archaeological museums and that displays peru’s History. You can even take glimpses of the uniforms worn by peasants and even the tribal culture is demonstrated here.

Museo de Oro del Perú (Gold Museum of Peru)

The museum contains many fine art pieces groomed in gold as well as silver. Even the uniforms and weapons from the previous years of Peru are still on display. Also known as Gold Museum of Peru, it is encircled with greenery.

The Museo Nacional de Antropologica y Arqueologica

Here you will be able to take glimpses of artifacts from pre-Columbian era. You can get to see textiles, ceramics and granite of that period.
