Exploring Cusco

The city is known as archeological capital of America and many of its historical and must see historical places are located in the city premises as well as far away from the city. For the nearby towns you can depend on transport system but the city center being very small you can also rely on pair of feet. Metro and rail services are not available to get into the inner circles of city.

By Foot

Large part of Cusco can be covered only by walking and prefer to move in a group rather than alone.

Public Transport

Another best option is public transport and the mode of transport is simply the cheap and the best. The buses are mainly useful in traveling to locations around the Sacred Valley.

Taxis

The taxis are belongs to authorized companies and are the safest as well as cheap mode of transportation. The taxis can be hired for the entire day to pay visit to historical sights of your choice.

A tourist tram that starts its journey from Plaza de Armas. Very inexpensive and the vehicle is put into order in such a way that it resembles the age old streetcars of the city.

The representatives of the car hire companies are available in the airport only and your minimum age to hire the car should not be less than 25 years. The services are comparatively expensive from the public transport.

Bicycle/motorbike

If in a need of exploring the city to its fullest than voyage by bicycle and motorbikes is a very great idea.
