Culturally Speaking- Buenos Aires

Fragrance of European culture can be easily sensed in the airs of Buenos Aires. The city is renowned as one of the best cultural cities of the world and it possess its cultural wealth in form of ‘tango’. Along with this, presence of Teatro Colon, one of the best opera houses worldwide, also gives us the fair idea about residents’ liking for opera. Cinema, theaters and many cultural centers are also available in the city. As far as spoken language is concerned, Spanish is an tango music of buenos airesofficial language however, number of people also speak English and French languages.

Tango music

The music form has seen a day of light in the surroundings of Buenos Aires only. However, now a days it is getting positive response from all over the world. During its inception, it was called as tango criollo, or simply tangob but presently it has adopted many forms i.e.  Argentine tango, Ballroom tango, Finnish tango, and Uruguayan tango.

The elegant city has enticed many famous writers and poets about the city and its citizens. Some of those writers are Ernesto Sabato and Jorge Luis Borges.

Argentina’s film industry is very famous and the citizens are very interested in watching films. This system came into existence in the city in the year 1896 and more than 2000 films are directed and produced in the city. The film producers and directors don’t forget to include tango form in their films.
