The Next generation city Bangkok is the state capital of Thailand, it is the largest urban city in the country. Any tourist will find it hard to ignore Bangkok since it’s a city in south-east which has an excellent blend of east meeting west. Bangkok not only has geography but also its history which describes its glorious period in the past. Ruled by various rulers Bangkok was a small trading post during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It was declared as the state capital after the death of King Taksin.

The population in Bangkok is distributed into two major parts Bangkok and greater Bangkok having 6,355,144 and 11,971,000 people living their respectively. A vast majority of the population, 92%, is Buddhist. The rest are Muslim (6%), Christian (1%), Hindu/Sikh (0.6%), Jewish (41 residents), and others. Bangkok and Pattaya are the two democratic special administrative centers in Thailand. In year 2009 Mr. Sukhumbhand Paribatra was elected as the Governor of Bangkok. Administratively Bangkok is divided into 50 khets (district) which are further divided into 169 kwaeng which are managed by the district chief appointed by the governor. The district-chief and Governor has a tenure of 4 years each.
The climate of the city is tropically wet and dry. Due to its low height from the sea level the city faces extreme problem during rains, this creates floods in the city. The cities average temperature is around 2oc.
