Places to visit in Africa: Part 2
We continue our journey across the African terrain and through its enchanting cities.
So put on the seatbelts and hold on tight. Here we go!
Malawi:
The place has been in news lately because of superstar Angelina jolie’s adoption of a Malawi child. But there are many other reasons why this stunning place on earth should be visited. The Livingstonia is one such reason. It is an ideal honeymoon place set on the edge of the Lake Malawi. It is a little paradise that offers some excellent eating options. One can rest and enjoy themselves in the pool which overlooks the sandy beaches.
Liwonde National Park is the place where one can go to see elephants, crocodiles, hippos all in the backdrop of the River Shire. That is to the west of the park, towards the east you can see antelopes, sable, elands and zebras. Here a wide array of birds to watch for the enthusiasts.
The widest variety of species of fish can be found in Lake Malawi then in any other lake in the world. The main attraction of the Lake Malawi National Park is the Livingstonia Mission. This memorial was built in the memory of Dr Livingstone. There are some good scenic places to spend the nights at like the Bay of Kotor, Chintheche and Nkhata Bay.
Namibia:
The stunning and beautiful Fish river canyon is huge in size. It is located inside the national park of the same name. This is every hiker dream come true. These amazing trails end in a hot spring which is very relaxing and bubbling fun! There are many trails to hike and they can give you some stunning sights of the canyon.
The one place on earth where you can see the maximum umber of cheetahs is in this world of Namibia. The Etosha National park has twenty percent of the cheetahs that are present in the whole world. This also the best place to see them live and roam free in the wild. There are also other various species of birds and animals to be found in this park.
If you had enough of the jungle safaris and thought the wild forest is all that Namibia has to offer, think again. Swakopmund is the little Germany in Africa. It is located between the sea and the desert. This place seems to have been picked up right from the German Countryside. It is small and neat Bavarian village.
Reunion:
This African island is located outside France and is often neglected by tourists and visitors alike. This serene island has clear skies which are painted blue with sandy white beaches for company. The deep blue lagoons add to the charm of the place. The capital of the city is Saint Dennis. The French influence shows in the many bistros, cafes, and restaurants in the city capital. And just like any other French city the prices are high and heavy on the wallet.
